I am always looking for fresh scents and after watching a whole bunch of videos and reading all the forums I decided to blind buy Thierry Mugler Ultra Zest. This was rated really well in the fragrance community. How will I rate it ?
Presentation
Ultra Zest keeps with the A*Men traditional bottle design. Very bright orange bottle which is perfect since this scent has a heavy blood orange note. Fits perfect in your palm and I love the rubberized feel. The sprayer is excellent, it really gives the dragon spray on your skin
Notes & Scent
Top Notes: Blood Orange, Tangerine, Ginger and Mint
When I first spray this on I get a heavy note of Blood Orange, Ginger and Mint for the first hour. The first time I smelled this it came off really strong and I wasn’t sure if I made the right purchase. But after wearing this more and more I’m really falling in love with the opening, I catch new notes every time I wear it. After the beast settles down, I get the Tonka Bean, Vanilla and Coffee vibe. Throughout the whole life of this fragrance its keeps the Blood Orange /Ginger DNA blended really well with Tonka Bean, Vanilla and Patchouli. This is really a unique scent and the more I wear it the more I appreciate it
Projection
Man this thing projects for the first 3 – 4 Hours. I get Beeaasssttt Moooddeeee Be careful over spraying as this scent can get cloying. I usually go about 2 – 3 sprays on this.
Longevity
Ultra Zest last all day on my skin. I get about 10 – 12 hours on my skin. Towards the 7th hour it’s more of a skin scent but its definitely there. This reminds me of the longevity I get from legends like Issey and JPG.
Versatility
Season: spring / summer.
Age Group:21 and up
You have to be careful with this scent as it can come of offensive when you first spray it on. I wouldn’t recommend this for an office scent the first hour. But after it dries down it’s really nice and most people will enjoy. I would wear this mostly in spring / summer.

My Overall Feedback
Ultra Zest is one of the most unique fragrances I have in my collection, it’s a Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. The opening is really strong but man the dry down is lovely. Every time I wear Ultra Zest I pick up different notes. Longevity and Projection are great it last all day. Overall I am glad I blind bought this, I really look forward to wearing this more during the Spring/Summer.

Ok, not gonna sugar coat anything here. I do not like this fragrance. Instant migraine. I would say I hate it, but after around 8 hours, the overpowering citrus smell finally goes away and all that’s left is a spicy vanilla. And that is nice. But I find it hard to enjoy this scent unless he sprays it far away and I don’t smell him for several hours. But how often does that really happen…??
Ever since I was young, I have always loved to smell great. Cologne head all the way. Now that I am older I still love going to the mall or local shops to smell the latest fragrances. Always looking to make my collection of scents larger :)
