L’Occitane Eau Des Baux

XavierAug 11, 2016 Cologne Reviews

L’Occitan has always been a brand that I have always respected due to their use of natural ingredients in most of their products. So I was really excited to get my hands on Eau Des Baux.

Presentation

The bottle is almost exactly the same as the other L’Occitane fragrance we did. It has the appearance of a late 1800’s amber bitters bottle. Appropriately so since there product is mostly all natural. The cap fits nice and snug so there is no worry of losing it. Very nice, even spray pattern. The only difference I can see is the label.

Notes & Scent

Top Note: Pink pepper, Cardamom

Middle Note: Cypress, Incense

Base Note: Vanilla, Tonka Bean

TOP NOTES : On the initial spray, it’s the cardamom that you smell first. Next up is the soft spice from the pink pepper. I absolutely love the way these top notes melt together.

MIDDLE NOTES : With the middle notes, it’s hard to tell where one start and the other ends, but you definitely get both the cypress and incense notes.

BASE NOTES : The vanilla shines throughout this entire fragrance. It is surely the dominant note. Also the Tonka bean is ever present.

This is my current favorite of the L’Occitane line. Very mild and still memorable. This great fragrance, it’s very smooth and natural. There is nothing synthetic about the scent at all.

Projection

The first 2-3 hours Eau des Baux projects pretty well. The Tonka bean and vanilla really shine and leaves a nice scent trail. After those first couple hours it becomes more of a smooth skin scent that you can smell most of the day.

Longevity

Overall this fragrance has good longevity lasting about 6 – 8 hours. The Tonka bean and vanilla are what seem to last on my skin. At the end of the day I can still faintly smell this fragrance.

Versatility

Season:

Age Group:for every age

Very versatile fragrance that can be used at any occasion. When I first spray this fragrance it reminds me of a winter scent. But I have used this cologne in every season and it works well. Could be also considered a uni-sex scent. The natural ingredients really make this scent by L’Occitan very versatile and enjoyable

Price $50- $60

My Overall Feedback on L'Occitane Eau Des Baux

I really enjoy this cologne. I am also finished with my bottle and need to order more. I have received many compliments with this fragrance and it last a good while. With the quality of ingredients and attention to detail from top to bass you can't go wrong adding this to your collection.

Brooklyn's Feedback

Eau de Baux is wonderful fragrance. The light aroma of Tonka bean and vanilla make this sweet and savory. It’s one of those smells that make me close my eyes and inhale deeply when we’re close. I love this fragrance!

Ever since I was young, I have always loved to smell great. Cologne head all the way. Now that I am older I still love going to the mall or local shops to smell the latest fragrances. Always looking to make my collection of scents larger :)
